I just checked her Twitter feed and she retweeted that York article yesterday, while retweeting the following from Sahil Kapur the day before:

If this bill passes, Trump-GOP will have:

•Repealed the ACA individual mandate
•Cut taxes by $1.5 trillion
•Opened up ANWR to oil drilling
•Put Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court
•Confirmed a dozen appellate judges
•Killed a lot of regulations

This is not a trivial agenda.

Now it's tied apparently.

they apparently have no mechanism to work out ties on votes, either. the Senate has the Lt Gov break it but the House doesn't.

No, that's tied votes in the Senate over bills. No, there's no tiebreaker in the House though.

This is a tie in the election. We think it would go to the House for certification, but no one is sure whether that's the current House or at the start of the next session.

My post about this got bottom-paged.

Simonds (D) is up by one, and it appears to be over. Not one point, one vote.

ONE. VOTE.

This will likely stay up in the air until tomorrow, when the VA Supreme Court panel will meet to verify the recount tally.

idk, the perfectly normal and natural groupings of their districts may prevent such metaphorical burnings

I’m glad someone is keeping a checklist of all the things which will have to be undone once Trump is gone.

Newly-released statistics show taxpayers paid more than $342,000 to settle workplace discrimination disputes at House lawmakers' offices between 2008 and 2012, including nearly $175,000 for eight settlements related to sexual harassment and sex discrimination accusations.

Well this CNN tax calculator says my taxes are going to go down 4.2% in 2018 and 2.4%, on average, from 2018 through 2025. However, the calculator does not specifically account for my K-1 income so I am somewhat in the dark until I can pow-wow with my accountant.

LoBiondo announced a while ago that he isn’t running next year.

A special fuck you to Tom MacArthur, the only NJ member of the house that voted for it. I donate to Andy Kim’s campaign every time I see his fucking commercial talking about how much the bill will help NJ.

House has to re-vote because the Senate, two provisions fail the Byrd test, so Senate will vote after they are struck and house will re-vote based on that.

This kind of stuff happens when you are trying to beat some arbitrary clock rather than taking the time to do the job correctly.

So, assuming your income is level, does your take home go up every year under the plan? That is, in 2018 I see a 5.3% increase in take home pay, then in 2019 a 4.8% on top of that, and so on?

And so does this also mean that the nice folks who do payroll and stuff for the university are going to spend the next couple of weeks updating everything? And so instead of getting the next week and a half off they'll be working?
