Hypocrisy is dead. Seize the politics

The White House said Tuesday that President Trump would likely owe more in taxes under the bill that passed the House but declined to release his 2016 returns on the grounds they are being audited. Both claims are disputed by tax experts. “We expect that it likely will, on the personal side, could cost the president a lot of money,” said press secretary Sarah Sanders when pushed on Trump’s claim that the bill would cost him “a fortune.”

There is almost no chance that statement is NOT a lie but it can never be proven because Adolf continues to hide behind the "my taxes are under audit" excuse.

Playing around with that calculator it becomes apparent how brazen this giveaway to rich people that live in states that don't provide any services this really is.

Every dem running for Congress in 2018 should make very clear that although republicans are so worried about how we are going to pay for social security and Medicare they just raised the debt $1.5 trillion. There doesnt need to be any other message

Will Trump go to jail?

Trump's possible Trump card is that he doesn't use email. As I understand it, when Donnie One Scoop has an email chain detailing the teat-for-that regarding Russian help in the election, he sends it to Hope Hicks, who reads it to Trump. So although Trump's obstruction crimes are public, his treason crimes may be harder to pin down.

"What did the president know, and when did he know it?"

My guess is that Donnie Two Scoops gets impeached or resigns due to the obstruction charges, and Mueller goes hard on the treason charges with Kushner and Donnie One Scoop. Flynn and Manafort - the worst criminals - get off light due to cooperating. Carter Page pleads insanity. Kushner is going to jail - almost certain.

After all of this we still have Trump's decades of Russian money laundering. Mueller can back off those charges if Trump resigns, but will NY AG Eric Schneiderman also give Trump a free pass on this? I think he can hold it over Trump's head as long as he's out of jail.

Frankly, I'd like to see the entire Trump Crime Syndicate brought down, with Mar-A-Lago and Bedminster and all the other Trump properties siezed and auctioned.

we can say we will do much cooler things (expand medicare? debt free college?) with most of the money than give it to billionaires and multinational corporations. then we can also actually eliminate some of the idle rich loopholes they alleged they wanted to see gone in order to pay for even cooler shit such as 'basic governance'.

VA @ 50-50 is going to be a trip. Its sort of a cherry on the sundae of 2017 politics. 2018 is into the land of the bizarre-o. Your first challenge is that no one, the IRS, your accountant, or your employer have no idea what is in the tax code, or what it means. The big close? We might just shut down the Federal government due to general incompetence to celebrate*. We are just getting started here people! Merry F'ing Christmas!

*word is that "chuch & nancy" will head on home to like their wounds, not pushing the DACA angle, so this might be overkill.

The Dems have got to start changing the language we use when it comes to politics. Like saying expand Medicare. Lots of voters don't want to hear that. Were going to "repair Medicare and Medicaid". The Democratic party needs a whole bunch of new-speak to push their agenda.

And people. I'm tired of seeing the same names over and over again. Who is the "rising star" of the Democratic Party? It seems like an awfully short bench.

I read where the tax firms are chomping at the bit to find all the loop holes and mistakes in this new tax bill. Get bigger returns for their clients.

Good question. I think it is the Hawks, because the Evangelicals have lost their minds thinking that Trump is an instrument of God brought to create change. Some kind of warped deity representing change into a more perfect world through a very imperfect vehicle. Basically they have talked them self into it. The Hawks? They have no excuse because of basic math.

I threw out a first read from my sarcastic accountant (your company can buy you a Ferrari was his email title to me), but this is 1000 pages, so it is going to be rough. There are 11 days in the year lef with a pesky holiday in the way.

Little Don out pushing deep state boogie man stuff about there being people in government service that don't want america to be america. What a horror. Aside from this "deep state" being a complete conspiracy fabrication, it continues to smack the down trodden, denigrated, and shat upon civil servants with a shovel who have gotten anything but a fair shake for a minimum of 5 years. I mean the legislative, and now the executive branch, have done everything to make these people enemies, but they are seriously some of the most altruistic among us give everything they put up with (low pay, ever more below standard benefits, the removal of the retirement incentive, etc.) in service of the nation.

Need an example, I recently met a GS-9 who transitioned after his first 4 years in industry. He is a step 1, which puts him at $43,251, and I know that his rent is over $1,400/month ($1400-2000 is the average with the low end being an apartment), so that is pretty meager.
