Turned on CSPAN early, Luther Strange (R-AL) is giving his farewell address. I wonder if he'll mention Moore (I doubt it, seems like the wrong moment and I don't know if he has the gumption to do it).

Now moving onto men's abuse of power, talking about his reputation as empowering and respected by women he works for... he knows who he really is and is honored serving as a Senator but announces in coming weeks he will resign as a Senator (probably for process).

Franken says he is resigning his seat, but not his voice. He will keep fighting for his beliefs as a citizen/activist, states a part of him will regret walking away, but he has faith in those who have helped him in fighting and that the works will go on

I was just paraphrasing what I felt the most important parts of his resignation speech for those who can't/won't watch.

I do think it was the right move politically, I thought it was the right move after the first allegation. Al Franken was a great Senator and by all accounts a good man while a Senator. I think his level of misconduct is less than Bill's and that he should eventually be able to continue fighting for Progressive and Democratic ideals.

idk the incident that politico reported yesterday the woman said they posed for a photo together he put his hand on her waist (where lots of people put their hands when posing for photos) and squeezed some.

i want to believe victims but doesnt that kind of stuff muddy the waters?

Probably, but we're a board full of men only, so it's hard to speak with authority on the issue. If the touching/squeezing was unwelcomed, it was unwarranted. This is a spectrum issue, and that incident alone is not enough to call for a beheading, but there is a critical mass to all of this where enough is enough no matter how harmless (by comparison) it is individually.
