I know why she said it. I just think it was the wrong response.

I'm no Haley fan, but this is sort of silly story. She was asked if the US would attend and said they planned to. Then she was asked if it was a "done deal" to which she responded that there were some open questions. No one with a lick of sense is going to say there are no circumstances under which the US would not attend the games.
