"We condemn racism in all forms and any and all hate groups that support it," Peter Collins, the senior director of public relations at Papa John's, said in a statement. "We do not want these individuals or groups to buy our pizza."

The Club for Growth opposes the income tax bracket for the wealthiest payers earnings above $1.2 million for couples as it is “class warfare the likes of which would make Democrats green with envy.” They also want the estate tax repealed immediately, not in some bill that gets voted on.

Not my state, totally unfamiliar with the issue. Why wouldn't you want a more progressive tax structure to fund schools?

because it would be regressive. The school funding would with 98% certainty come from an increase in local wage taxes, adding a large burden to renters, who are usually the least capable of affording it. And LOL at the folks who say that landlords would lower rents if they didn't have property taxes.

Isn't that progressive for retirees who are burdened by property taxes? Why do you want to steal houses from old people?

Some steady, though not terrible, rain in NoVa right now. Should be raining here most of the time until polls close. Most of the rest of the state looks dry. If Gillespie wins a squeaker, could be the weather that wins it for him.

And then SALT deduction deprecation would eliminate any chance of anyone who itemizes from seeing any upside what so ever. Weird strategy in place to force decisions, and therefore funding back to the states which would ultimately need to raise S&L taxes to pay for all the freedoms being delivered to them from the federal government, while the federal branch rips out and taxation advantage quid pro quo.

I do full acknowledge that this is much, much worse for lower income individuals at the local level who would either be devastated by the taxation, and/or equally crushed by new, and possibly higher barriers to a quality education. I guess I just have to have faith that Betsy DuVos and her school choice freedom to save those poor souls.

I'm a yes. I don't have kids and don't plan on moving anytime soon. I can see this as battle between senior citzens and teachers unions/parents.

The plan is to rent a 15 passenger van, stop at the Apple Store, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods to transport voters to Reston polling stations. Additional stops at Papa Johns will be transporting people over to Trump National.

Also it is like 41 degrees, so that might make your weather threat a reality. Soggy and 41 is not a motivator, but then again unlikely voters are an eponymous group.

this question is a ploy by the Republicans to de-fund public education. it's really as simple as that. If you dislike Betsy DeVos you probably shouldn't be fooled by tactics to add even more charter schools to PA.

Why vote no? The #1 reason is to not trust the Republicans in Harrisburg to do anything right

Question: What to expect from the President in his major speech tonight?

Answer: Hopefully clear policy statements delivered soberly, not the rhetoric and nicknames...

Reality: Look at the Clintons, that is the real Russia scandal. Did you see how many counties I won? I alone am making America great again. Those Korean women have really tight asses, look at that, god, amazing. I'm a tough guy with a great memory, and that Florida cowboy hat lady is, well, a, uh ELECTORAL COLLEGE! Nothing like it. Bigly. Samurais attacking missiles, drive an Oldsmobile would you, MAGA! Korea is really unfair to us. Little Rocketman!

Frank LoBiondo reportedly retiring. That's a big one.

Wonder if Jeff Van Drew will finally run for that seat.

Not many GOP state legislators in the district, though probably a lot of countywide elected folks. I guess Chris Brown might run, especially if he wins today? A lot of counties in the district, Atlantic the largest at ~1/3 of it.
