have you heard any projections for the property tax vote?

lots of people are fooled by the language, so I imagine it will pass handily. the Democratic Party is split on it because people who are wimps don't want to be against something that says 'lower your property tax!' even though it would cripple education in the state.

it really depends on how Philly politicians and the party there explained it to voters; the rest of the state is going to overwhelmingly vote for it.

Certainly doesn't seem like it. Would imagine we'll see some historically awful turnout given the lack of interest in the race which always increases variance, but think the question in play is more whether she'll do really well and only lose by 5% or do OK and lose by 15% or terribly and lose by 25%.

tax shale? nah. lets allow lower property taxes and tax labor instead.

with this said, i wonder if many local municipalities will significantly lower property taxes knowing thats whats funding their school systems.

Fox News Channel says it won’t air any more ads from a wealthy Democratic donor advocating President Donald Trump’s impeachment due its viewers’ strong negative reaction.

One negative reaction was from Trump himself, who tweeted that donor Tom Steyer was “wacky and totally unhinged.”

Fox viewers should be suspicious that Fox took money to run the ad in the first place, but maybe that was the fair and balanced part.

I imagine when they don't do it you'll see a few school districts vote in some hardline crazies and those school districts will eventually need to be bailed out by the state if they actually follow through. then those areas will blame teachers and pensions for their plight

Paul Ryan citing "his" economic research that massive salary growth will be delivered with the tax plan. "His" because there was no reference to where to find it. My assumption is that this is more dribble down nonsense where there is no actual wage growth, because there has been almost none in a very tight labor market, so the tax relief fakes wage growth.

It worked so well the last two times, why not. I guess we should make sure that Don knows that this really screws up the economy, and the markets, especially the markets since it does not effect coal miners that much.

Republicans have both branches of Congress and the presidency. This is completely undivided government. Republicans can do whatever they want.

Trump urged CIA Director Mike Pompeo to meet with a conspiracy theorist who claimed that the DNC data theft/hack was an Inside Job. Of course Pompeo went.

amazing

Trump seriously probably watched the guy on Fox News and said to ignore what Pompeo's own agency is saying and instead go see what this 70some old coot who wants fame is saying

anyone have an opinion on the PA referendum on the Homestead act going to 100% exemption (ie, localities can opt to get rid of property tax and use another means to fund schools)?

People like this, all you have to do is ask them one question to see if there is any legitimacy to their story.

Was President Obama born in the United States?

If they answer no then cast their story to the wind.

Either I am disappointed by Democratic turn out or unpleasantly surprised by Republican turn out
