They ding Morning Consult for being an online poll, when online polls done the right way can be just as good as phone polls and there's nothing to suggest Morning Consult isn't a methodologically sound group. And if anything making a story about Trump saying something true being rated only half true seems to go a long way to validate the 46%.

It's noise - and irrelevant who paid for it. The bigger story -when it comes out - is that GHWB was paying for it before Jeb dropped out. But even that is noise.

It will provide some useful distraction for Trumpists but I don't think it will delay the inevitable. Corky 'n' Flake ™ are good and I hope it's the start of a trend, but it seems to all come down to Mueller's report.

I don't really care who funded it, though it sounds like both parties did. The question is if it is true or not and it certainly appears that most or all of it is. Your party is being run by a bunch of traitors, so hop down off your high horse.

Don't get too frothy about Flake. I've heard him twice this morning, and both times he push back hard on the idea that there is any likelihood of any 25th Amendment anything.

So, yesterday morning, Trump tweeted a lot about Sen. Corker. The first tweet about Corker came around 8:00 am. Around the same time, Corker was standing in the back of the church that myself and 200+ advocates from across the country were sitting in waiting to hear from him. Corker is made aware of the fact that Trump is tweeting about him. Corker is standing with some International Justice Mission staff and his own communications director. He decides to compose a tweet of his own.

He then asks Tim, one of the IJM staffers who he is incredibly close with, "What do you think about this one?" as he hands Tim the phone to read the tweet he has not sent yet. Tim goes, "Meh, it is alright." "Should I send it?" Corker asks. Tim tells him, "Uhh, yeah sure."

Corker's comm. director steps in and says, "No. Do not send that. We need to meet about this and talk about what we want to do and how we should respond."

After some back and forth, with the IJM staffers looking on, Corker just goes, "No, I am going to tweet it." So he does. And that is what gave us:

He then is introduced to us. Gives us some encouragement and thanks. And then he leaves.

Just so wild, to me, that Corker pulled out his own phone, stewed for a bit, wrote that tweet, asked a friend is he should tweet it without consulting his staff, and then just tweeted it. There was no grand plan. He knew speaking out would be a big deal, but he just kind of decided to do it there, on his own, in the back of some church while waiting to talk to a group of people.

Honestly I think the biggest problem with Politifact is that they analyze too many inconsequential statements.

Senator Steve Daine disagrees with Flake, sides with Trump. The people have spoken and this is exactly what they want. The government is very effective.
