If this isn't the place to confess that I am some combination of the stupidest and luckiest sumbitch alive where is?

I coach cross country, and this afternoon I was using a leaf blower on the course to prepare it for a middle school meet. When I went to get something out of my car afterward, I noticed that my keys were gone. Almost certainly they had fallen out of my pocket somewhere along the course when I was restarting the blower. This was highly annoying but not devastating. There wasn't anything I really needed from my car right then, I live less than a half mile away, the keys would probably eventually turn up, and I had a spare set back home. True, I hadn't seen the spare set in a few days, but I was sure they were hanging around in the pocket of a pair of shorts I hadn't worn since the weather changed or under something on my dresser. At the very worst I'd be missing the set that had a few store cards on the chain for a while.

I took a look but couldn't find them, and I also had the runners keep an eye out (since the high schoolers were also helping out). Then I got back to helping out at the meet myself. About a half an hour in, one of the runners brought me a set of keys and asked if they were mine. I definitely recognized them, but , weirdly, none of the store cards were attached to the chain. They definitely opened my car, though. Then, a half hour later, someone else said they had found a set of keys. These were the ones I had definitely dropped, with all the cards attached.

The first set was my backup, which I had managed to lose a couple days ago. I must have had both sets of keys on me that day since I didn't even notice. The second was my main set. For an hour or so I had been totally screwed and didn't even know it. I don't know whether that means I should play the lottery or shut myself up away from the world, since clearly I'm not qualified to cope.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure if you need to find something you go to St. Anthony for that stuff. He's in charge of that department.

got wazzed yesterday. Same response every time, feeling good but trapped in a weird headspace. Get stuck telling long stories (I am a bad story teller), feel weird about it but ultimately I think I'm pretty funny (looking) for the most part. Came home, listened to some spacey music and went to sleep.

Play list. Need to add some stuff, then work on sequencing of the tracks. Thinking some M83, some Boards of Canada.

Obviously, because then you're done. Happiness is found somewhere in the middle of the bottle.
