i see them online, I don't know if anyone still carries them, but I'm on a mission. Around 30 years ago to almost this day, Azrider and his friends both ridiculed and bullied a kid in the neighborhood for wearing a pair of kangaroos. After that day, he was never seen wearing those sneakers. Today, in a shocking turn of events, I will attempt to not only contact that individual who I haven't seen for 25 years but also to buy and wear a pair of kangaroos. I will make it right.

luckily my parents discovered the outlets in reading... i probably would've been still wearing toughskins in my sophomore year. By third grade you had to have designer jeans, aka lee.

My first were those blue suede pumas with a yellow stripe, that turned your socks blue when they got wet. After that I had a pair of those rebook aerobic leather girls sneakers that guys would wear. After that I only wore Nike till college.

Oh man, I forgot all about those shoes. I had a pair in like third grade. Red and white high tops. Nobody made fun of me though. But in sixth grade, my friend had a pair of generic Adidas (I think they were called "Guts") with four lines on each side instead of three. He endured constant bullying about it, which culminated in a kid throwing and hitting my friend in the face with a big chunk of asphalt. A fist fight ensued. And then my friend's mom (who tended to overreact about such things), started pounding on the kid's door once she found out what happened. When he refused to answer, she called the cops.

Probably the worst bullying I faced was when we first moved to the US and the kids in school made fun of my Kmart brand sneakers everyday. My parents would always convert the cost of everything to rupees, so paying more than $20 for shoes seemed outrageous lol
