Trump sums it all up: “I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris.”

As the Mayor of Pittsburgh, I can assure you that we will follow the guidelines of the Paris Agreement for our people, our economy & future.

The problem with the 'dems just need to message' is that there is no message to reach these people. They are constantly fed lies and conspiracy theories and thrive only on liberal tears now. They'll never come around as long as democrats champion things like gay rights and planned parenthood. There are some moderate ones out there but even they hate poor people enough to never pull the blue lever.
Yeah, getting the base and non-likely voters to turn out is the right idea, i think.Woody wrote:JUburton wrote:Conservatism, which was terrible to begin with, got cancer when Fox News was started. It's malignant now and will never recover.

It's not "those people" they need to reach. I think it's the people who have tuned out to politics in general and don't bother voting. Dems got 3 million more votes but it should have been even higher and with the way demographics are going in this country, the margin should only increase from here. A story to tell would help

I know they don't want to hear that their industry is dying and they want to blame anyone and anything besides that the industry is dying and automation is taking their jobs. They want to blame President Obama, the Paris Accord, etc. It's frustrating.
