Pour One Out For The Comey - Politics Thread

I realize that the naming of a special prosecutor certainly helps Trump sell the "victim" image to his base but I find it very odd (and perhaps even telling) that he tweets stuff like "hoax" and "witch hunt" (delegitimizing language) but never seems to include anything about him not being worried because there is nothing to find. I feel like if he has nothing to hide, he would be welcoming an independent investigation as a way to prove he was right all along and the liberal, fake media was wrong. Instead, he is into instant defense mode.

It may take a while to get there but I cannot help but believe that this is the beginning of the end.

Well didn't he say there is nothing to find in his tax returns. Maybe he already used that one too much.

The WH did issue a statement to that extent last night. As always, these measured, crowd-sourced responses get lost in the noise of his tweets.

I do. But for him and his connection with The Hartford we'd have had a public option with the ACA.

Thank you for sharing this; I obviously missed it. Still, even if I had seen it, I would not have believed for a second that it actually came from Trump; not enough adjectives.

damn Democrats, approving Trump's nomination of Rosenstein 94-6

we're so nefarious, we've even infiltrated Trump himself

the 6 nos: Blumenthal, Booker, Cortez Mastro, Gillibrand, Harris, Warren

lotta 2020 in those nos, and that's about it

He knows now. The question is whether he knew it when he played Rosenstein for the fall guy in the Comey firing. What an idiot!

Trump cancelled his visit to Masada because he is afraid of stairs.

The electoral college is slanted toward the democrats, but a republican just won the election despite a multimillion popular vote deficit? And another popular vote loss 16 years before resulted in a republican presidency.

It's amazing that a person can make statements that fly completely in the face of logic and provablely false while 30% of our country gets totally behind him.
