seems like it should because the WH screws up/does something illegal at a frenetic pace. however, congress is slower than ever, and the ball is in their court.

I think the results in Georgia and Montana may have some effect.

I also think it's interesting that I haven't seen any Trumptweets since he proclaimed that he was allowed to share intelligence with the Russians. Did his staffers manage to take his phone away? Can they keep him away from the television?

Also, there's a tweet out there that the NYT has reported that Trump also asked Comey to lock up reporters.

In an article headlined to be about staff changes being called for, there is an awful lot of discussion around how to deal with the press. Luminaries lie Hannity who calls the press self serving, Tea Party Patriots co-founder Meckler chiming in, and Laura Ingraham saying that reporters have no right to be hanging around Trump’s White House. Kill the information flow, turn off the spotlight, then what horrible things could/would happen?

I was thinking that this has been a long span of silence. Maybe the battery died in his phone and they took away the charges.

the cabinet members seem fairly untethered to the white house at this point and the military is basically allowed to do its own thing with no civilian checks.

Former DOJ communications director, Matthew Miller, who knows Comey well (as far as working with him) and tweeted this past Thursday about how Comey always keeps a paper trail said on Morning Joe this morning:

I have to think there’s a memo about that conversation, and I have to think there’s memos about other conversations,” Miller said. “Look, if I were in Jim Comey’s shoes, you probably don’t leak the worst memo first, right? The memo we saw (Tuesday) night may be the least damaging to the president. We may be seeing even more explosive ones to come.

So sick of politicians accusing accusing other politicians of playing politics. It would be like Lebron accusing the other team of playing basketball.

I do think the radio silence from the white house is strange. Does Trump have the emotional depth to actually have some kind of break down? Or is the chaos so intense that's its become a kind of communication black hole?

I wonder if there's anything discernible in the patterns of who appears to be currently in the President's favor. We haven't heard anything from Jared/Ivanka. Mattis, probably the most respected member of the administration is no where to be seen. Has anyone heard from Pence lately? Or Sessions? Is Paul Ryan the only person who isn't looking for some kind of exit strategy? A lot of Republican politicians went all in on Trump since the election--will safe Senators like Cotton face some problems down the road?

Its a run up to the next Trump Direct Press Conference, followed by his getting on the plane to leave the country. Imagine how much worse it would be if there were tweets, because you know that something 6 <more> degrees past crazy would be in the mix.
