So the USPS is now offering (for free) "Informed Delivery", in which they send you a scan of (the outside of ) all mail coming to you that day.

So it's email of snail-mail!

(right now it's only letter-sized envelopes, but they plan to expand to magazines and large envelopes)

How old is elderly? I've seen people as "young" as 67. Today it was 74. I always had 80 as the magic elderly age.

i'm getting all 4 wisdom teeth out in a few weeks, not looking forward to it. I'm wondering how long i'll be conked out for until I can resume some strenuous activity. It's kind of inhibiting my decision to make travel plans afterward.

feel like its real variable. i was out with friends the next day. maybe a couple of days of changing bloody bandages and i was good to go. maybe took one perc but was pretty fine all things considered.

that's not bad at all, for resuming normal life. I'll probably need more than one perc though. I was thinking 7-10 days til I feel normal again. Think 2 weeks after is safe enough to travel and rage

Plan a week of diminished activity. I think I went for a run on day 5 post op.

One thing about MS Word (and I guess all other modern WP software) is that they have tons of fonts, but they're listed alphabetically. So, when I play with fonts (because let's face it, Times New Roman is ugly, and it's so compressed it's kind of depressing when you're writing and writing and writing and it turns out you've only written a page and a half) I tend to stick to those fonts whose names begin with letters at the beginning of the alphabet. Century, Book Antiqua, sometimes as far as Footlight or Goudy Old Style are about as far as I get.

But for a sans serif font (and I think I read somewhere that sans serif fonts are best for when people will be reading on line) I think Latha is a good one.

I really think MS should figure out a way to organize its font listings some way other than alphabetically. Many of the fonts that I find clutter up the font menu probably are only useful for a handful of users, and I suspect if you're doing the kind of graphic design where you'd use something like Alfredo or Agency with any frequency you're not using MS Word but probably some kind of specialized graphic design software.

Google Docs has allowed users to organize fonts by several different criteria for a while now. Surprising that Word hasn't caught up.
