took a PT barback job to keep up with the rent while I'm back in school. Obviously I cannot close Sunday nights because I will have class <6 hours after arriving home from my shift. I've only worked three shifts at this place and the manager has already scheduled me to close three Sundays. I was able to get one covered, and the second is doable because of Memorial Day. Right now my chances of getting the third one covered appear slim. Not sure what to do though. I've quit a lot of crappy jobs but I usually last a month before it happens. I also need the money. I also cannot afford to let this job mess up my return to higher education.

as an aside, settling for three fresh soft pretzels as a $1 post-midnight dinner is pretty good. generally don't give a crap about soft pretzels but this works

yes, once implicitly ("I'm available Thurs-Sat nights") and once explicitly ("I take classes full-time and have to be up early on Mondays. Please do not schedule me to close on Sundays")
