where you going to school?

CCP for a year or so, then ??? Very few of my PSU credits are transferable because I changed course from journalism to health care so I'm almost starting from scratch.

I started out going with Journalism and just stuck with it so I could graduate in a reasonable amount of time. Didn't matter what my major was because I had a job the day I graduated. The degree came in handy a few times but I was never a newspaper man. Not like Rosalind Russell.

Got my haircut this morning and a lady was sitting in the chair getting her haircut reading a book. I feel like that's kind of rude. If you don't want to make awkward small talk, then you should sit there in awkward silence staring at nothing.

Looked up an old friend of mine from elementary school….he committed suicide a few years back. Always nice to catch up.

That sucks... I was going to ask if you guys were close, but you apparently answered that. Still sucks. I lost some real close friends over the years of my life, due to nothing more than other circumstances. I feel weird sometimes reaching back out with all the time passing and situations totally different.

I remember visiting the hood I grew up around Lansdale and seeing one of my best friends growing up in my early 20's. I left after 7th grade moving up to the Lehigh valley. However I still had family in the neighborhood and visited often. I still heard the news though.

We joked about how we should have a reunion. I was like we would have to get a 1/4 out of jail, and a 1/4 out of the ground. However if we bring booster seats we can more than make up for the drop in attendance. It was truly like that song from the offspring, the kids aren't all right. My cousin grew up seven years later in the same neighborhood but had pretty much none of the same stories.

I love getting my haircut in awkward silence.

I had a great barbershop. prices kept going up though and eventually I realized it didn't make much sense to keep going for a buzz cut. Bought a $20 kit and never looked back.

One of my daughters friends parents owns a barbershop in Avondale, like a legit old school barbershop, take their time and do a seriously good job. You've gotta make an appointment and he spends a solid 30 min. Getting every line right. Charges $15 a cut, I give him $20.

I thought a fiver was a pretty standard tip for a cut around the 15-20 range.

One time I was out of town, needed a haircut and just went to some random place. It didn't look particularly upscale or anything so I didn't even pay attention to what they charged for a cut until it was already done.

I don't remember exactly how much it was but it was way more than I've ever paid before or since. Which really, really sucked because in those days I was just getting a buzz cut so anything over $10 already felt like highway robbery.
