Why, gee, thanks, Senator - that'll save anyone the trouble of actually asking you to do so, since pretty much no one was going to

Huh? Way less qualified people have run for public office.

it's complicated, Calvin. But among many other issues that one might have with a Mr. K candidacy here in the Nutmeg State, we just really don't need dynastacists right now. I feel it's good he realized it himself.

Completely agree. Keep seeing Chelsea Clinton being pushed and I cringe. Want all these families to take their money and please go away

she wrote a children's book and tweets. she said she's not running for anything. that's not 'being pushed'.

May is certainly is a puzzle. She is full steam ahead on getting Brexit done. The UK citizens seem like they recognize that they shit the bed. It got a little indifferent because the economy got marginally better when it was recognized that there was a 700 day stay, but it again has started to slowly erode as time marches forward. Then there is Scotland, where the British nukes apparently are, who want to stay EU. Pass the dynamite.

Tax day, that would be a good day to release your taxes if you are POTUS. I hope that there is more booing of anyone who uses that shamefully weak audit defense.

So there is an interesting side topic here. Clearly the older population has this loyalty at all cost mentality. I have observed that the mid-tier age in these groupings has, but is losing, a learned behavior that criticizing the sitting president is gauche.

Related to Tariffs, and MAGA and Made in USA, this struck me as funny:

XXX is a family owned company with a rich history that has developed its techniques and procedures in shoe crafting as it grew and matured.

Justice Stolen Seat heard arguments yesterday. We're all just moving on. In 3 years I'll hear arguments from leftists again about how voting for 'the lesser of two evils' is folly and from right-wingers about how corrupt the Democrats are, etc. Life goes on, I guess. Have to play our roles!

what an exhausting day for the Governor:

The Supreme Court late Monday blocked the first of at least six executions planned in Arkansas over the next two weeks after a dizzying day of state and federal court disputes about lethal injection drugs, mental health claims and the right to legal representation.

The justices’ action represented a setback, but not a final blow, for Arkansas officials as they race the clock to execute convicted murderers before the state’s supply of a controversial sedative used for executions passes its expiration date. If that happens, all the executions will be put on hold.

Justices turned down Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge’s request to vacate a stay for Don Davis, 54, who was set to die Monday night by lethal injection. It’s the second time in seven years that Davis, who was convicted in a 1992 murder, has come within hours of execution before courts intervened.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson released a statement saying he was disappointed in the delay. "While this has been an exhausting day for all involved, tomorrow we will continue to fight back on last minute appeals and efforts to block justice for the victims’ families,” the statement read.

The high court has tossed out two Texas death sentences this year — one because of racially discriminatory testimony, the other because of an outdated definition of intellectual disability. It is scheduled to hear two more death penalty cases on April 24, the date two more Arkansas prisoners are slated for execution.

i feel like this book is actually bad and would have been 100% different had 100k people not voted one way in 3 states. it seems like the kind of thing where they got tons of quotes throughout the process, then picked which ones to use after nov 8 set the narrative.

not saying the hillary campaign didnt make mistakes. obviously it did but this kinda seems like a cash grab.

YOU ELECT PRESIDENTS WHO NOMINATE JUSTICES FOR THE SUPREME COURT. WE ELECTED ONE AND THE SENATE SAID 'NAH' BECAUSE REASONS, THEN WE ELECTED ANOTHER PRESIDENT AND THEY PUT THEIR NOMINEE ON THE COURT.

both sides do it/won't vote for evil/stein 2020/#DEMEXIT

yeah, that's how campaign books work. you get all you can then create the narrative after it happens. they're pretty stupid. Game Change was the stupidest of them all.

MARIETTA, Ga. - Polling equipment containing information on every Georgia voter has been stolen just before Tuesday's special election.

News outlets report four ExpressPoll machines were stolen from a poll manager's truck in Marietta on Saturday.

Cobb County Elections Director Janine Eveler says the machines have a list of voter names and addresses, as well as driver's license numbers. She says it's unclear if the thieves would be able to access the information.

Secretary of State Brian Kemp has criticized the county elections office for waiting two days to publicize the theft.

I'm sure voting machines are stolen all the time, and that elections offices don't share that info promptly with anyone who ought to know. It could have happened anywhere.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I don't need to read a book about a train wreck I lived through.
