It's interesting. If Putin wants Trump to make some concessions in Ukraine or the energy market, having electorates that hate the other country's leader certainly makes it tougher. On the other hand, there's just way too much smoke for there not to have been some collusion. Maybe they both already got what they really wanted from the deal, Trump got to be prez and Putin got an american leader tearing the country apart from the inside. Or maybe that was the deal in the first place.
I think it's more that Putin either wanted to weaken a Hillary Presidency, or figured that Trump would be a lot easier to manipulate.
