A Ghostbusters reboot, set in the same universe as the originals, is coming next year for some reason.

Yes, but it wasn't connected to the real ones, whereas this one will be. And Jason Reitman will be directing it.

Ghostbusters 2016 > oceans 8

With that being said...

Hobgoblins 2 > ghostbusters 2016

Oceans 8 was fine. Lady Ghostbusters was awful. Feig is generally a very good director. Huge miss

I know I'm not the first, nor will I be the last, to make this observation, but it's infuriating to have to sit through a commercial to watch... a commercial

I'm sure it probably will get a wider release at some point.

I can't see any plans for a wider release at this time, but they did get it out by December 28 in order for it to be considered for 2018 awards. May be seeing how it stacks up there before deciding how much distribution to give it.

Halloween was good enough with awkward and random Michael Myers kills

Saw Bohemian Rhapsody tonight... I liked it... not a plot heavy film but the music is contagious because it's ya know, Queen, and you could tell that Rami Malek did his work to re-create Freddy... the Live Aid re-creation is pretty epic and brings some real emotion knowing Freddy was sick and what his fate would be... deserves the accolades

Seems like a weird Oscars year.

https://variety.com/2019/film/news/osca ... 203112405/

No major (or in most cases any) nominations for: Sorry to Bother You, Annihilation, Leave no Trace, You Were Never Really Here, Eighth Grade, First Reformed (screenplay only), A Quiet Place, The Death of Stalin, Paddington 2, among others.
