I dunno, Clarice Starling would say it's a good move, see him as a human and you're more likely to offer empathy.

There was only 2 people it could have been. He tweeted a picture he took of Emma Stone backstage with her Oscar shortly after he gave Beatty the wrong card. Seems like he is more concerned with rubbing elbows with the stars than doing his job based on his past tweets.

The Oscars used the image of someone who's alive during the In Memoriam segment.

It's a bigger screw up than the best picture thing in my opinion.

Yeah, this guy Brian apparently is a known figure around the ceremony (along with his other-side-of-the-stage counterpart Martha "Cooch" Ruiz) so mentioning his name doesn't seem to be a huge deal.

AND...as the article states (this was the article from BEFORE the show!) Sammy Davis Jr. was handed the wrong envelope in 1964!) (about the 2 minute mark)

Manchester was devastating. Affleck was quite good.

saw the first (modern) Steve McQueen flick (of 12 Years a Slave fame), "Hunger." It's about the famous IRA member, Bobby Sands, who was imprisoned for the bombing of a furniture store frequented by British Protestant loyalists, in retaliation for the bombing of a Irish Catholic pub frequented by separatists, which was carried out by UVF (a Protestant loyalists group).

Sands is played by Michael Fassbender, in one of his first big roles.

It's largely about the inhumane conditions the prisoners had to endure, which often times they did not. There's several attempts a protests in an attempt to negotiate with the British government, but it culminates in a hunger strike that in which several prisoners including Sands died.

It's an interesting film to view in our context, when we're a divided people over, I dunno, whose a cuck and who is not, I gather, but in this case they're fighting over their independence as a nation. It's difficult to watch at times, but very good. 87/100

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000582/

He did a voice role in 2015, one film each in 2010 and 2006, then nothing since Lethal Weapon 4 (1998). Prior to that, he'd done 28 films and one TV series (lead role) in 19 years. That's kinda nuts, but maybe he'd made enough money and wanted to enjoy his life.

Netflix is paying 105 mil to make this movie. Can you imagine if a Netflix movie won Best Picture? Would start to change movies in the theaters
