Hidden Figures was okay. Plenty heartwarming, but films like Spotlight raised the bar on giving viewers a sense of how work actually gets done during the day. This one was really staged like a musical without songs-crisis, despair, Eureka! moment, rinse and repeat.

Octavia Spencer does a great job transcending her role, though.

when was the last time Pesci acted in something other than a Snickers commercial?

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000582/

He did a voice role in 2015, one film each in 2010 and 2006, then nothing since Lethal Weapon 4 (1998). Prior to that, he'd done 28 films and one TV series (lead role) in 19 years. That's kinda nuts, but maybe he'd made enough money and wanted to enjoy his life.

Netflix is paying 105 mil to make this movie. Can you imagine if a Netflix movie won Best Picture? Would start to change movies in the theaters

amazon was a producer on Manchester by the Sea. I don't see them removing them from the theaters anytime soon

Fist fight was fun! Other than the incredibly hot asian general, the great wall was really bad. Sing was better than lala land. John wick was some good shit. That's 2017 so far peeps.

Quantity or quality? In Bruges, quantity: hacksaw ridge quality

Actually wick 2 a little more but wick 2 was more about the #'s but they were more superfluous.

There were a lot of people that brutally got stabbed to death, so I'm going to go both quantity and quality.

I really enjoyed it though. The Deadpool short at the beginning is really fun too.

saw the François Truffaut movie Shoot The Piano Player. Only other movies I've seen of his are Jules and Jim which I think is one of the best movies ever, and 400 Blows, which every film nerd loves but I'm ambivalent about. It's a good movie, it's stylish, it's funny, but it feels a bit primitive. No major complaints but it didn't blow me away. He's a good guy from a hood family, and he gets wrapped up in their hood-ass behavior, and tries to resolve that. One really interesting thing about it is it stars Charles Aznavour, who was a very popular musician in France. Some described him as "France's Frank Sinatra." I'd say like 83/100.

Dude, there's like very little info and ratings on this movie, other than its budget was 150k. Is it campy, or so bad it's funny? Got to give me a little info before jumping in.

Is it weird to admit that sometimes I put on Charles Aznavour chansons when nobody is around and it's a sunny, breezy day?
