My Twitter feed is like 90% focusing on Beatty's role in fucking up the name being read, when he was clearly confused and Dunaway read it. Not that it was either of their fault. Guess he should've run away?

I mean, he didn't know all along it was wrong. He opened the envelope, was baffled by what it said, paused, showed it to his co-presenter, who belted it out.

Apparently the explanation we're getting now is the wrong envelope was given from the opposite side of the stage from where the Emma Stone envelope was taken. (Each side of the stage has the same set of 24 envelopes)
