Finally saw Black Panther and can recognize that it was a really good movie while admitting that I had no interest whatever in what happened to anyone. Not nearly the snoozefest Avatar was, though, which is the last movie I saw that I'd describe in those terms. My college age daughter on the other hand thought it was the bees knees. I had no idea who the person was who shows up after the end credits, even after she told me his name, just to show how clueless I am, though.

I'm hoping it's success doesn't get in the way of making Fruitvale Station 2, since I really liked that picture.

I don't remember how I stumbled on to this but it's a pretty excellent essay on Predator

Yeah every indie movie I was like 'eh i'll wait for netflix/streaming' I'll just go catch at Bryn Mawr. And I can see potential trash like Tomb Raider and not feel bad about it.

Under siege 2 has a shockingly deep bench of actors in addition to Seagal

-Katherine Heigel as Seagals teenage niece
-Mo Chestnut as train employee/Seagals emergency understudy
-Big Ed Hurley from Twin Peaks as one of the key henchmen
-Other minor henchmen include Mike Ehrmantraut from BB and Redfoot from Usual Suspects and the alien humanoid hit man from X Files (Pat Kirkpatrick)
-The dad from that 70s show as the military general

Also in the film seagal makes an impromptu bomb out of concentrated coconut oil, bourbon and broken glass, mixed in a shaker, with a beeper for a detonator

The point is we need to keep eyes on Kapler

The Disaster Artist was very entertaining. Pretty sure Franco just wanted to do it because he thought it would be fun.
