New START gives both countries until February 2018 to reduce their deployed strategic nuclear warheads to no more than 1,550, the lowest level in decades. It also limits deployed land- and submarine-based missiles and nuclear-capable bombers.
During a debate in the 2016 presidential election, Trump said Russia had "outsmarted" the United States with the treaty, which he called "START-Up." He asserted incorrectly then that it had allowed Russia to continue to produce nuclear warheads while the United States could not.

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) offered glowing praise for Mnuchin, saying while they didn’t previously know each other that after spending hours with the longtime Goldman Sachs executive, he thinks he’s “brilliant.”
“I said, ‘You know Steven, you’re going to lose a lot of money by taking this job.’ He said ‘I don’t care.’ He said ‘I want to serve my country,'” the GOP Finance Committee chairman said. “I was refreshed ... to the point that I’m going to help him every way I can become the greatest Treasury secretary we’ve ever had.”

A lobbying firm working for Saudi Arabia paid for a room at Donald Trump’s Washington hotel after Inauguration Day, marking the first publicly known payment on behalf of a foreign government to a Trump property since he became president.

It's also the only congressional district in America where Clinton came in 3rd - McMullin got 2nd. It's that conservative. He can sit there and engage angry constituents knowing he is going to get reelected by 30% in 2018 even if he gets a well funded challenge. He should be good unless we move to the much favored "whoever gets more phone calls wins" version of democracy.

I bet he asked Flynn
Trump then told Putin the treaty was one of several bad deals negotiated by the Obama administration, saying that New START favored Russia. Trump also talked about his own popularity, the sources said.

Im no expert on Utah politics, but what if a valid challenger emerged in the primary instead? Eric Cantor comes to mind

Well, bratt was more Trump like than cantor. The best shot I think for unseating chaffetz, and it isn't much of one would be an independent or 3rd party candidate.
Butthats not the real takeaway here. If chaffetz's seat is threatened, it likely means a whole lot of other r incumbents would be in trouble.
