Those Anton arguments have been used time and time and time again to argue against the immigration of the Irish, the Italians, the Chinese, the Jews, etc., etc., and of course against African Americans after their forced migration. Every time the anti-immigrants have proven to be wrong and immigration has only strengthened our country.

Has anyone come across a comprehensive list of reactions to the immigration EO? It's like a lesson in unintended consequences.

-- The American Medical Association worries about their program to trade visas in exchange for new physicians to practice in under-served areas. Potential furthering of the doctor shortage.
-- Retaliatory actions of Iran and other countries' treatment of US citizens.
-- The sloppy writing of the EO (intentionally?) puts the status of tons of permanent residents in jeopardy, from doctors to basketball players
-- Tourism into the US should decline as both a direct (some people can't visit) and indirect (many others choose will choose not to travel under this hostile environment) consequence

I'm very hopeful that data comes out in the next year on how Trump's EO hurt specific areas of the economy.

Counter that, paraphrasing 538's Harry Enten, but early polls show that this shit had little to no effect on Trump's public opinion (not that that's saying much).

It's a little disheartening that a large minority of our country actually approves of the EO as written.

I've seen a lot of the Twin Towers. It's not even worth correctly pointing out Saudi Arabia's role and absence.

Abraham Lincoln, who was the president at the time, signed the resolution to outlaw slavery. This anniversary is annually observed on February 1." So it's a day, kicking off Black History Month, that commemorates Abraham Lincoln signing the 13th Amendment (not yet ratified by enough states), a big step in the process of outlawing slavery. Mike Pence tweeted about this, and that's wrong.
