I've mentioned it before that for some reason the IRS makes me withhold as a single person with no exemptions. So I get huge tax refunds every year, this year it's $12k, I efiled 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my refund, I went on the refund tracker and it says there is a problem with my refund. I called the IRS and the first person I talked to told me there was a hold on my refund because I didn't file my taxes at some point and I need to resubmit the return to clear the hold. She can't tell me what year it is, so I had to call another number and after 2 hours on hold, they hung up on me. I have all of my prior year tax returns, I do them in hr block going back to 2011, so I don't know when I didn't supposedly do a tax return and I don't know what year to send them, but the fun part of it is, even when I send it to them, it will take 6-12 weeks to then release my refund. What in the motherfucking shit is this?

Sounds like a case for taxpayer advocate.

I had a work meeting tonight in Washington Square West and saw an old friend from college. I I felt really old when I told her I'd love to catch up but I had to get to this meeting.

Papa John's is taking a page from the airline industry and testing a fee that lets people bump their pizza orders to the front of the line.

The chain says the $2.99 "Papa Priority" fee was recently launched in select locations, and it's looking for ways to expand the test.

It says the fee doesn't guarantee delivery within a set time, but sends an order to the "front of the line so that it is made faster." The option is limited to five orders each night per location.

While customers whose pizzas get bumped back might object, Papa John's says the option has gotten "great customer reception."

I accidentally typed in "P" in my mobile Google browser last night. the first result was Pizza Hut, the second was something I forget and the third was Papa Johns. I did't it just now to find out what the second one was and the results are different. Now it's Pandora, Paypal and a bunch of searches I did. I knew Google had personalized search results but that seems to be indicative of the time of day. Since it was late at night and searching they assumed I was looking for vice (gluttony).

I use separate reddit/browser apps for late night viewing. My phone suggests opening those around ~10pm.

 but it brings up a good point - why were my results not in alphabetical order? I can assure you I've never searched for plebeian pizza options like Pizza Hut or Papa Johns, so I know it wasn't search history. wtf Google, you crazy immigrants.

Philadelphia sports are cursed. 2008 was only to have another generation know what it's like to win and then never win again.
