anyways, if more start doing this to ever rep, holding them to the fire, there is a chance.

he should ask to un-stretch his district

I didn't vote for Ryan, but from the few times I've met him over the years he seemed like a nice, reasonable guy.

The 6th is a bit of a sprawling shit show.

so's the 16th, my district. they were made that way on purpose. he does seem nice enough; he'll also vote 90% of the way with Trump. moderates are dead.

he kinda is. i have met him in person to talk about slavery. he is a big supporter on of the stuff that we were trying to do. however, he is just going along with the flow. no harm in challenging him to have a spine.

it was an anti slavery bill we were trying to get passed. wasnt in the house yet and we ended up having to pass it attached to a much larger funding bill late last fall.

Casey and Toomey have not co-sponsored. If you want to call their office today and express your support for the bill that would be great. People will probably be visiting their offices today too. For Casey you just leave a message (they don't answer the phone). Toomey you may speak to someone. Regardless, it is really easy.

I'm calling to ask Senator [SENATOR'S NAME] to co-sponsor the End Modern Slavery Initiative Act, or S.553
This legislation would strengthen the U.S. response to modern-day slavery around the world, an issue I care about deeply.
Would you please pass my message on to the senator?
Thank you!

Calvinball wrote:Senate passed the NDAA. Which is meaningful because that bill some of you called your senators about, was attached to it. Well it was moreso written into the text, not an amendment to it. It's not the full End Modern Slavery Initiative, but it is enough.

Corker had brought the original bill up. The process he used meant it needed unanmiosu support and anyone could block it from a vote for whatever reason. Cruz, Lee and some other dude from Oklahoma blocked it because of course.

So it was withdrawn and McCain helped get it into the NDAA. Somehow those three were ok with it this way. Probably because they didn't really know it was in there or they think others won't realize it is part of the bill.

Either way-- next step is to get the House to accept the Senate version of the bill. It's a big step but we are closer than ever before.

ah yes. renowned moron hillary clinton was able to secure 3-5 million illegal votes in the election but didn't think to place ~80K of them in PA, MI, WI where she really needed them

it was frankly diabolical of the dems to lose everything but still employ millions of ILLEGALS to cast meaningless votes

It's hysterical.

The guy has zero clue what he is talking about. He's like an old man yelling at a cloud. He is completely detached and out of touch from reality.

Pressed further- if he believes this and it is true it is the biggest election scandal in the history of our country, will he investigate? No he's happy with the results. So you're okay with millions of people illegally voting? OK maybe we will investigate it.
