Hail to the Thief: A Politics Thread

lawyer-types amongst us, help me with something: Roberts has GOT to be drooling to hear this emoluments case, doesn't he? I mean, I have no idea where he'd stand on it - but it's big, it's constitutional, it seems of a piece with money & politics zone that Roberts has delved in before (Citizens United).

Or would he run away from it?
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Kyle Chandler as Comey; Peter Berg as writer/director.

Trump brought up the 3-5 million illegals voting in his meeting with Republican leaders.

Liberals cannot let go of election results.

After reading that fascinating theory, certainly provides context into Trump's team spending so much time (a) trying to build bridges with intelligence community and (b) creating a narrative that the media is lying. If Comey has potentially country-altering intel, then Trump and his people need (a); and if they cannot save themselves that way, will focus on (b), that the media making all of this up.

For what it's worth, I hope that theory thing is wrong. I think it's too far gone to be true, but if it were to even be 50% accurate, it would surely paint a horrendous picture on our 15+ intel/law enforcement agencies.

Trump filed paperwork to run in 2020. Took bush and Obama almost 2.5 years into their first terms. Priorities!

If America focuses on America and rolling back globalization, who wins?

China. Russia.

In return? We may get some "help" containing Nk and Iran. Otherwise, we will lose our EU allies, trade partners, and the remaining economic and military power we have.

Good game.

Oh, now it's up to 5 million! Jeez, republicans won everything even with 5 million illegal votes. Just imagine the sweep if we had voter id!

People who live in R congressional districts, or even places represented by R state representatives, need to call on those representatives to affirm their support of drumpf's daily violation of the Constitution re: emoluments. As elected officials, it's incumbent on them to openly declare that they are fine with him wiping his ass with the Constitution. That way everyone knows where they stand. Rs are staunch defenders of the Constitution so I know they will do the right thing.

what does "cut regulations by 75%" even mean? Delete 3 of 4 lines in every regulation? It's the wordlike noise of an imbecile who's unaware of how anything actually gets done anywhere

the b roll of trump with these business leaders yesterday is cringe worthy.

we are going to cut 75 percent of regulations. maybe more! so if mark over here wants to do something big and great he can. if dell wants to build something big we are gonna do that, trust me. you will get approved very quickly.

Sounds like a great meeting for Trump with the most powerful union leaders in the country yesterday. They could not have been more excited coming out of the meeting praising Trump's agenda and executive order killing US participation in the TPP.

Then you watch the DNC Chair Candidates open forum...............wow.
