I think the idea works really well. I wouldn't say it's simply a novelty idea in the way that a bagel pizza might be. The characteristics of naan bread are different enough from a traditional pizza crust that you end up with something rather distinct. I think it would be even better if we had fresh or homemade naan.

Huh. Crust was the right kind of charred. Packed with pepperoni and onions. Good airy structure, light butter (which dominos overdoes like crazy but seriously their pan pizza is pretty good too). What were your issues?TomatoPie wrote:JUburton wrote:Pequod's pan pizza in Chicago was really goddamn good.
I must have hit it on a off night. It was worse than Domino's when I visited.

How was it?
Pequod's is probably my Most Disappointing Pizza experience. I went in expecting great, waited 2 hours, what we got was not as good as Pizza Hut.
Oops I missed this. I thought it was pretty damn good but not like a life changing pizza or anything. We got sausage, peppers, and black olives. It was definitely a bit of a soupy mess but the crust turned out great.
For me the food highlight in Chicago so far has been the italian beef sandwiches. Would have to give the slight edge to Portillo's but I went to Johnnie's last night and it was also fantastic. BIG fan of the spicy giardiniera.
