Explosions at Boston Marathon

Papelbon:

“It’s sad, man. Patriot’s Day is a big thing in Boston. Sox play at 11 o’clock. It’s all ruined. Families are ruined, lives are ruined. For what? It’s just sad.

“I’m looking at it right now and I’m like, damn, I used to live right there.”

“It’s kind of surreal. I don’t know man, it’s crazy. It’s hard to even think about. … Hopefully the city can rally and make things better, but it’s going to be tough.”

Echoing Barry Jive (from earlier page)- I've never been more afraid in my life.

It's shocking, watching the video, that WAY more people didn't die

Seems like a pretty massive explosion, and there were obviously a shitload of people there. I guess that means the bomb was basic, or wasn't designed to try and kill lots of people (with shrapnel and whatnot).

This stuff is unavoidable. Nothing you can do to stop or avoid it.

Training up to NY to tomorrow should be interesting.
