that wheelchair picture is heartbreaking. roadside bombs happen all the time in the middle east too. we should care more about all of this.

Grain of salt and such, but this is from a friend of a friend at work. Type of stuff you always hear around these sorts of events:

"omg. Listening to the Boston Fire Department scanner. Theres a lot more going on than the media's telling us. The two explosions at the finish line, fire's from the manholes, a suspicious package in the trash can in front of old city hall, theres something going on at UMASS (suspicious package/car) and a fire at JFK library broke out in a mechanical room around 3? wtf."

Not to rule out foreign terrorism, but I'd expect the aftermath of an Al Qaeda attack to be much worse (as disheartening as that sounds).
