I think you're off the hook, as it looked like a triple to me.

OH NO YOU DON'T, TV. DON'T GO AND GIVE HIM AN OUT.

Looks like you're too late anyway...

 What a terrible article by T.J. Simers in the LATimes. It actually funny how he takes more cheap shots at the fans and Phanatic.

What a joke.

Talking bad about the Phanatic should ruin any writer's credibility. Whining about the team "choking" like an angry caller on a sports radio station and passing it off as journalism is downright terrible.

Was at the game last night and still can't believe what I saw. We in section 425 but decided to move down before the 8th and were standing out in LF. When Jimmy hit it the place turned into a mosh pit, people were jumping all over the place, I turned and was hugging my brother and dad. Everyone was just high fiving and were still going nuts as you went to the exits. Turned to my brother when we were out of the stadium and said We are going to the F-ing World Series again.
My quick smells like French Toast

I like that Stark wants to be this amazing "it's just like you were there" writer, but he misses the mark most of the time. Obviously written in a hurry, I think he manages to pull it off this time (as long as you aren't too cynical while you read it).

I love LA's screaming "YEAHHH"

It reminds me that all of the Phillies announcers, with the exception of TMac and the inclusion of our muse, are Phillies fans as much as any of us are.

What a joke.

I find it sort of funny TJ Simers wrote this sentence:

Same tired skits, by the way, they employed a year ago.

Also, who is Bartlett?

Jayson Stark wrote:Bartlett -- whose pinch-running exploits last October led him to score the winning run in two World Series games -- loped home first. "I had the easy job," he said. "Just go out, turn around and don't do anything too stupid."
