Even Thome's gone Hollywood. Can't wait to see his offseason commercial with Joe Torre.

Jim Thome's never won a World Series. If the Phils wrap this up as they should, Thome's loss will be the only thing I feel bad about. I want him to win more than any non-Phillie in the majors.

I like Jim, too, but I could really care less if he wins anything.

Is that wrong?

No he's made like a bazillion dollars. Don't shed a tear.

I'd like for Big Jim to win a WS.

The problem is, I want the Phillies to win every WS from now until what will likely be the end of his career.

Apologies if this was already posted, but more Bill Lyon. Not about the win, he probably wrote it during the course of the game, but still. I could get used to this.

Thanks. Man, he makes a game that happened tonight sound like it was a classic from 50 years ago. And that was written after the Phils were thwarted in the 8th, before the grand finale.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

I may not get this right, but I think espn news just said this was the first walkoff extra basehit by a team that was one out from losing in the post season since Kurt Gibson's HR off Eck.

So what does this mean for Joe Sheehan's Dodgers in 6/if I'm wrong, it's because that number is too high prediction?

The recap at ESPN says:

"Only three guys in baseball history have hit a walk-off, extra-base hit when their teams were one out away from losing a postseason game."

Hey, Dodger Blues stole our schtick!

Post People you would rather see as closer than Broxton.

Using images is a nice touch, though.

I've watched the video at least 20 times now, and I'm still grinning ear to ear every time.

Amazing.

Hah, just went to bed, saw I had a missed call/voice mail from Werthless. His "Jimmy Rollins, oh yeah" message was TMacian in its forced excitement/lameness.

just a couple things before I go to bed;

1. Possibly the greatest game watching experience ever.

2. Nobody on the board gave up hope tonight, I think we all knew deep down it could and hopefully would happen

3. Just solid entertaining posts all night long.

4. Possibly the funniest post ever was on page 92

5. 5.

6. How will we ever top this?
