But at least Scully knew right away it was a huge hit. Franzke was a little slow on the uptake, though he made up for it post slide. Also Scully is 100.

I think I mentioned this somewhere last night, but I want to repeat it--I'm enjoying this year more than last year. And I want this more.

In fairness, Frantzke was probably distracted by Larry Andersen doing the bull dance around the broadcast booth and pouring Scotch everywhere
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Also another year, another photo of Russel Martin at the plate with soul-crushed body language.

The feeling is even better this morning.

We're going to annhilate the Dodgers tomorrow.

And then, we're back to where we belong...

Ha, I thought about the taking third thing too, but then I figured he figured if they tried to throw him out going to third, he could do the whole getting-caught-in-a-rundown-on-purpose thing.

i just watched a replay and there wasn't a soul covering 3B. Blake had already turned his back and headed to the dugout when Jimmy rounded 2nd.

At the risk of embarassing myself why does Russell Martin's jersey say "J. Martin"?

from wikipedia:

Russell Martin announced that for the 2009 season, the name printed on his jersey will be changed to "J. Martin" in reference to one of his middle names "Jeanson", in honor of his mother
