So, what’s going to happen? Well, Ricciardi told Yahoo! Sports last night that his gut feeling is that Halladay won’t be going anywhere. I’m still not sold. Regardless of what he says, I believe Ricciardi is highly motivated to meet ownership’s demands to shed payroll, and he knows he can fetch a greater return for Halladay if he trades him now rather than in the offseason. Unless the Red Sox make an offer that involves Clay Buchholz, the Phillies will put together the best package, and in the end, I think the sides will agree to include 19-year-old right-hander Jason Knapp instead of Drabek. It may not happen until the last minute, but I think the Phillies will get Halladay for Happ, Knapp, Brown and triple-A shortstop Jason Donald, who returned last night after minor knee surgery in June and went 2-for-4.

Happ, Knapp, Brown, and Donald? I'd be hard-pressed to turn that down
