Does JPR remind anyone of John Turturro?

phillieszoneKerfeld will scout Washburn tonight and Halladay tomorrow.

seriously, why are they bothering to scout Halladay and Washburn. These guys have been around forever, I think you know what they throw.

Surely you know that's not the only reason to send someone to scout a player, don't you?

He could be scouting potential naked party participants.

If there's anything to commend JPR on, it's that beak he has. The arc on that thing makes St. Louis jealous.

Jesus Harold Christ people I can't believe we're on the 12th or 19th thread on Halladay. If you miss a few hours on the board, much less 2 days, you don't know where to even start reading. Halladay is the best pitcher in baseball and he deserves a lot of the chatter, but when I skim through a few pages it seems like it's the same thing over and over. More than anything I guess I'm trying to say you guys are posting machines and must have even more time to waste than me and I didn't think that was humanly possible.

We need under-water capable laptops so I can keep up. I finally got my pool's heater fixed and there's nothing like floating around in 96 degree water. Motorized-pool-floats-inventors put that in your pipe and smoke it!

But anyway to sum up all of the threads, here is what I have taken from them:

-Keith Law hates us
-Every beat writer in Toronto and Philly sucks and lie to us
-The Kirk Van Houton reference might be the best post in the history of BSG
-JPR is a crazy douchebag
-Amaro is a smug douchebag
-This deal has no chance of happening
-This is already a done deal
-If JA Happ is holding this trade up, Amaro needs to be castrated

What am I missing?

the only thing they need to see at this point is that he doesn't get killed by a line drive. likely that they have tvs and maybe even high def.

Billy Beane: "First of all J.P., you never let on how much you like a player. "Oh, Kyle. Hi." Two, you always call the shots. "Sign with me. You won't regret it." Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. "Isn't this great?" Four, when ordering food, you find out what he wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, Mr. Amaro will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice." And five, now this is the most important, J.P.. When it comes down to making a deal, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV. "

Beane: I mean don't just walk in. You move across the room. And you don't talk to him. You use your face. You use your body. You use everything. That's what I do. I mean I just send out this vibe and I have personally found that other GMs do respond. I mean, something happens.

Ricciardi: Well, naturally something happens. I mean, you put the vibe out to 29 teams, something is gonna happen.

Beane: That's the idea, J.P. That's the attitude.

Ricciardi: The attitude?

Beane: Yeah! The attitude dictates that you don't care whether he comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

Just so long as he isn't asking Rolen whether or not Scott thinks he should approve a trade to Philadelphia...
