Calling Minaya a liar again (in so many words).

Heyman says Phils still favorites, but there's a real possibility Halladay won't be traded. Yanks won't take Wells.

Heyman says it's more likely than not, he'll be traded. Phils favorites. Brewers maybe.

Indian discussing trading Lee. Not clear because they've got no pitching, but "there's some momentum there."

Heyman off the rails now, stock falling the last 24 hours. Chance for Kenny to strike.

Omar & Manuel "are safe." I'm sure we're all relieved.

Heyman on WFAN..........

-Phillies won't trade Drabek......hurts their chances somewhat, but they have a lot of players to talk about.

-Mets proposed deal was better than Donald/Carrassco/Taylor

-Value of prospects in general is through the roof right now, mainly due to not having to pay them

-Doesn't think Halladay would approve a deal to the Mets. He wants to win.

-Indirectly standing by his Mets report.......reading between the lines, he got it from someone involved with the Mets because he mentioned the other two Mets stories he broke yesterday. Says GMs and executives don't always tell the truth

-Jays being very secretive in negotiations

-Francessa said the Mets prospects suck

-Reiterates the Phillies won't part with Drabek

-Boston won't trade any of their top prospects

-Francessa said the Mets prospects in the Santana deal sucked.........4 guys who can't play

-Francessa calls the Mets contenders.........."they'll be very good next year."

-Heyman doesn't think the Jays will get what they want. Haven't so far.

-Francessa and Heyman arguing over who has generally won these type of trades

-Jays think Martinez will be a star player

-Heyman cites his "Bonds to the Giants" report in 1992 to back up his credibility.......everyone denied it at the time and it happened that day

-Heyman saying the Mets are denying the report to save face with their fans

-Heyman reiterates that Halladay wouldn't approve the deal to the Mets

-Francessa would give up Drabek "in a heartbeat" for Halladay

-Heyman said most GM's he's talked to said they would turn down trading big prospects for Halladay

-Heyman saying prospects are way overvalued

-Heyman said Phillies are the favorites. They have the wherewithall and prospects. Brewers have the prospects. Toronto will want Joba or Hughes from the Yanks or Buckholtz from the Sox. Toronto may just keep him since they're not getting what they want

-Wells has not been discussed with any of the teams

-Yankees won't take Wells to get Halladay.........Francessa insinuating they should

-Heyman says Halladay will "more likely than not" get traded. Reiterated the Phils are the favorite. Others involved are Milwaukee. Compared Alcides Escobar to Alfredo Griffin.

-Cleveland is talking internally about trading Lee. Some momentum for a deal there.

-Victor Martinez could go to Boston

-Matt Holliday available.......Cards may be interested. Heyman thinks Giants will be involved

-Braves may be buyers but have money issues

-Cubs wanted Pedro but ownership wouldn's sign off on spending $1M guarenteed. They'd love to get rid of Fukudome, Bradley or Soriano

-Tampa has money issues......needs a closer. Probably can't do anything

-Tons of interest in Heath Bell.......Padres say he's not available

-Arroyo and Harang are on the block.

-Seattle will make a decision on Washburn and Bedard in the next few days

-Texas can't take on any money

-Minaya and Manuel are safe for next year

My suggestion for the next thread on this topic:
