Halladay IV: A New Hope

Postby Didn't I? » Wed Jul 22, 2009 14:11:48

I hate how much emphasis is being placed on Drabek here. If he's the piece that holds up a potential Halladay deal, he'll face even more pressure when he joins the big club. "All right kid, you're the reason we didn't get Halladay, show us why."

though i know it's a small sample size, today is reminding me of why i desperately do not want to see jamie moyer starting playoff baseball games for the phillies.

He's great when he shits the bed... just not when it does it on the field such as today.

Well, they don't make sense financially, but an ace is worth a ton of money to them for their playoff chances. Making the playoffs would be a boost financially. And they have a lot of young talent from the draft over the last few years.

I hope Drabek gets mildly hurt so we can keep him.

I just like the kid.

Holy crap; almost any pitcher we have to offer is better than Manny Parra. If the Brewers land Doc with some lame Parra, Gambel-type deal I will demand an investigation.

Any relation to Benny Santiago, who had 30 homers his first year with the Phils?
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

start with roy halladay, aaron hill and scott downs for jamie moyer, eric bruntlett and chad durbin and work your way up
Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

If we have to throw in Kendrick, it's a risk I'm willing to take.
