So crazy, in the comments of that deadspin article someone said he changed his tire after it happened. It's a commenter on deadspin so who even knows if that's true.
I don't watch racing but based on similar highlights in the past, that kid was way further out in the track than your typical macho protest after a wreck. Stewart would have had to go out of his way or stop, which I guess was the guy's plan.
Also read that drivers have to accelerate in the corners to help the car turn otherwise they are headed into the wall. Also looks like the car in front of Stewart barely avoids hitting him. Car swerves and ward jumps back. He then takes a step or two more further down the track.
i see a tragic event that would have been completely avoided if the deceased individual would have stayed in the car instead of running into the way of oncoming traffic.
