Think that came from that insider who had the Horford signing on the RealGM boards.

I thought the Horford thing came from a Lakers board? But a boarder who would know better than me agreed with you last week.

Can I talk myself into MDA being the best thing for Jo's career? Probably. I mean, I don't really believe it, but Jo launching 8-10 threes a game, shooting mid-range jumpers, getting back on D because he's not posting up 54 times a game...OK, i guess.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

Can't remember where the Horford thing originated exactly because I do kind of remember something involving the Lakers but yeah... someone here said it was the RealGM guy last week. Have been checking the RealGM boards over the past week since for the latest and they do seem to think the guy over there has a legit connect.

On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

That guy has been solid for a few years. Seems like he knows someone close to Embiid.

Harden is a good pick and roll ball handler, Simmons is a good roll man. I could live with that.

Simmons is not a PnR player, seems pretty obvious

On the contrary, both Bodner and Hoffman were complimentary of him as the pick-setter and roll guy. He was in the top 10% of the league in efficiency as the pick-setter in PnRs. Just not as the ball handler.

Yes, he can set actual screens and dish when he gets the ball. That's great if he sets up at the elbow, but using Simmons in a PnR with Harden, who likes to run it at 25 ft from the basket to set up his drive and step back 3, leaves Ben out where he's no real value to the offense. He's not a threat off a pop and rolling to the hoop from that far out, and even if he does, he doesn't play through contact at the rim and has a less than ideal FT%.

He could be useful if he turned into an 80%FT shooter who draws fouls but no real evidence yet that he wants that.

They also ran less p&r for harden this year, would even say their base offense for most games was no pick for harden, just went back to it vs OKC to try to get DORT off him

I think they might keep a couple of the 2nds this year. They’ll want cheap labor to save on the tax bill.

By the way it’s notable how the picks Presti trades always have these weird top 18-20 protections. Would have 2 1sts this year if Sixers did that with the Harris trade. Alas.

FWIW Kendrick Perkins was on Brian Scalabrine's podcast today and apparently talked about the Sixers and Doc Rivers:
I heard he's having a lot of conversations with the Philadelphia 76ers. Right now, that's where he's getting the most interest and I think that's, he would be a great fit with them. I honestly believe Doc with Joel Embiid, that's what he needs. He needs a person like Doc. Think about what DeAndre Jordan did under Doc Rivers. Hell, think about what I did under Doc Rivers. Doc Rivers gets the best out of you.

That assessment is honestly terrible to hear, and Kendrick Perkins is one of the last people I want weighing in on this.

Why do you prefer Lue to Rivers?

I'm just happy we have a group of D'Antoni, Rivers and Lue. I can accept any of the three. I prefer Rivers. His work with big men and mentoring players seems like the best for Embiid.
