I wouldn't say it is top 5 crunch time players, it is top 5 guys in the league. Crunch time doesn't do you any good if your team is down 20.

Usually you have a top 10 regular season guy or top 5 player in the league on these championship teams.

In the playoffs where it’s usually close, give me the top 5 crunch time player every time.

If anything, these playoffs have shown that the gap between a Spoelstra and a BB is almost incalculable. Coaches matter. That offense gets buckets based on scheme. Guys like Dragic and Robinson and Crowder are basically free. Herro and Bam development is a lot to do about coaching. Spoelstra basically stopped playing a starter (Nunn) and a top 7 rotation player (Leonard) because he knew it was the right thing to do. Brett could not even make obvious changes to the lineup. This gives me hope. Brett was not good.

And you can’t tell me Korkmaz doesn’t have the skill to be 90 percent of Duncan Robinson. He isn’t quite as good a pure shooter but he is way more athletic.

Sign me up for that rumored Embiid for Harden thing that’s was on Twitter.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

You want Harden and Simmons on the same team, that would be real fun half court offense

I'm not saying I want to do that trade but the number of "good years" that Embiid and Harden have left is probably a lot closer than we would like to admit.

Harden is a good pick and roll ball handler, Simmons is a good roll man. I could live with that.

Anything new on that or just the zany John Clark tweet and related aggregators?

Simmons is not a PnR player, seems pretty obvious

On the contrary, both Bodner and Hoffman were complimentary of him as the pick-setter and roll guy. He was in the top 10% of the league in efficiency as the pick-setter in PnRs. Just not as the ball handler.

His improvement setting screens both on and off the ball has been night day from just a year ago. His release and path rolling has been even a greater improvement. I have absolutely no doubt if you team him up with a harden he would average 20-22 points a game. The problem is that it should be another arrow in his quiver, not his primary role. While he would undoubtedly be great at it, it stunts his development in other parts of his half court game. But then again, if he doesn't want to start taking that other part of his game to the next level, maybe he should settle in as not quite an alpha but something more in line of a pippen. (Talking more role than actual skill set)

New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers have already reached out to former Clippers head coach Doc Rivers in regards to their head coach openings, sources told @TheUndefeated.
