In retrospect it was probably a really bad sign when Brett said "I want Ben to shoot threes" and Ben continued to refuse to shoot threes.

Yep. Does Ben even want to get better or is he content?

idk what is says or doesn't say about Ben but it shows that there's no accountability or consequences. The Thybulle incident versus the Heat before the shutdown comes to mind as well.

Why we didn’t run it back with a new head coach will be considered an all-time managerial blunder. Possibly as bad if not worse than the decision to trade up for Fultz.

This franchise was given a gift and it completely #$!&@ it all up.

What cracks me up even more is that Jimmy wanted out so he could run the offense, and Brett's grand master plan coming into the bubble was moving Ben to the 4, which would have allowed Jimmy to run the offense.

Wonder if the FO tries to cover their asses by trading Jo to Miami

Jimmy thought Brett was a clown, but was still willing to come back until he realized the FO was also run by clowns. Listen to his pod with JJ. It's crazy.

Perhaps a hot take, but Ben is the best player on the team by a lot.

Kevin O'Connor is cutting WWE promos about how much the Sixer suck.

Oh boy. I was so annoyed when the Sixers let him go. I am afraid even to listen to that, I will probably go apoplectic.

It wasn't as painful as expected at the time, but it may be tough to listen to right now.

What’s painful is it’s not like saying, “What if we had drafted Tatum?” We actually had him in our hands, we saw what he could do in crunch time and in the playoffs, we saw how well he and Jo got along and we let him slip through our fingers. The inability to figure out how to keep Jimmy and make it all work was a colossal failure of imagination by the organization.

If the Celtics play like they did tonight they could win the East. Bucks play that same drop coverage that we got roasted on in the 1H ( though less shittily than us)

Thanks for the memories Brett and best of luck in your future endeavors. I would say “continued success” but...

Jimmy’s story about Brand reminded me of when the ‘05 Eagles brought Hugh Douglas in to fight TO except in this case they made him GM

i do believe in that not every coach/manager is set to do two different tasks. Brett is a good builder and team guy, but he's definitely not the guy to get you over the hump. reminds me of gillick and the phils. wade was never going to get the job done, but the pieces were there to make it work. Brett just can't figure it out with this collection of people and there's definitely people in this league that can.
