Lot of news today to distract from the turdpen
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

I'm glad they finally backed off their position that you had to make the hall of fame to get your number retired (which wasn't a thing because Ashburn). Hopefully this leads to Utley and Rollins.

Allen should get in the Hall next year

Well of course he should, the Phillies retired his number and they only retire hall of famers, after all.

Might as well give Knapp 26 or 11 next to continue the trend of retiring the number Knapp wears

He's now #7 per the roster page on phillies.com.

Knapp deserved better with how he's been playing. Now he is going to stink again.

by the way, the MASN crew 'leaked' the dick allen news last night. "The announcers said Knapp will have to change his number because Dick Allen is going in the Hall of Fame this year and the Phillies always retire HOF numbers.". Guessing they heard it being bandied about and just assumed (incorrectly, at least until December) that he was going in the HOF and were unaware that it (the number retirement) had yet to be announced.
