Personally, for me the cut-off point is half a season. If they can safely get 81 games in somehow, go for it. Anything less is just not worth it, imo.

A 60-80 game all division season with a shortened playoffs would be fun and probably make MLB gain a lot of fans, but of course only if they can do it safely.
