pacino wrote:so im giving up bowling for a summer. i've been bowling non-stop for 3 years, consistently about 3 times a week, and just reached my limit. it'll be a nice thing to suddenly find $80+/wk in expenses back in my pocket, and then I think I'll come back and WANT to bowl instead of kind of dread it.
anyone who bowls regularly go through this before? i feel like i've plateaued with my scores on both house and sport shots and can't seem to attain the honor scores or averages i want and of which i am capable.
basically, i'll be wrapping up my pba league tonight, wrapping up two house leagues on thursdays and fridays in april, and then go to states and nationals in two successive weeks and be done with bowling after the first week of may. i think what did it for me was missing a local tourney due to sickness and kind of being glad i did.
i always wondered why some of the better bowlers would take off summers...now i know. it's a grind

Seriously, even though I'm a PBA member, I was watching the Eagles and DVR'ing bowling and watched it tonight.
Do you realize that today's bowling telecast was actually taped a month and a half ago?
