We have plenty of money left today Stott a bit over slot if we want to. Most college first-round picks sign for under slot.

There is nothing out here about Stott.. Only that his twitter account no longer exists/was changed, and his wiki page calls him a Professional with the Phillies.

Bryson Jeremy Stott (born October 6, 1997), is an American professional baseball shortstop. He was drafted in the first round (14th overall) of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft, by the Philadelphia Phillies.[1][2]

References are garbage. 1 Drafted, 2 Baseball Reference page is a stub.

stott was in philly for his physical yesterday. would guess they do something before the game today since the team is heading out of town again.

After Reading's observation about Stott, this seems to be the draftees left removing the rumored signed players and the two keeping their college commitments.

Battles is a student at McLennan Community College and just completed his Freshman year. He did play in the Juco championship games, so he is not the teammate that dropped classes and just played baseball (vague new story tabbing someone and the team having to forfeit 4 wins)

Sanchez is playing summer ball for the Yabucoa Puerto Rico team in the Caribbean series.

Got nothing useful on Castaneda or Murphy.

I hope he was because that would be hilarious. The amount of outrage and horror that he hasn't signed yet (mostly on other boards) is insane. He's going to sign and always was going to sign. JD Drew was over 20 years ago, get over it people.

Phillies went a little underslot to sign Bryson Stott, and a source said they are near deals with their 11th-round pick Marcus Lee Sang and 12th-round pick Jadiel Sanchez. Both are prep players who will receive larger bonuses to forgo college.

That might close to door on the draft. Ed's guess that RHP Castaneda heads to Michigan, LHP Murphy heads to Grand Canyon, and SS Battles goes back to McLennan Community College could be spot on. All three of those would be betting on themselves to do some work and get drafted higher then in the thirties.

That would have the team leave 5 on the table, which is not bad ignoring the state of the farm.
