Seemed like a pretty uninspiring press conference. My feed cut out a few times, but from what I saw, Homer just said "I don't know" a lot.

Holmgren says he will personally look around for a short-term fix in goal, maybe even before new #Flyers GM is hired. “If I can make our team better, I’d be foolish not to look at it.”

Shocking. It was actually nice to have prospects and draft picks for the last few years. Yes, Hextall should have brought them up faster in some cases, but I really hope we don’t go back to when we had no farm or picks when all of this is over

How is this not a wake up call that Holmgren and Clarke need to go too? This should be a dream job for a GM. Top farm system, future picks, cap space, talent on the team, ability to pick your coach, etc.

I think as Homer transitioned into his new position this was true, which allowed Hextall to take his slow approach.
But I think it is obvious Homer is back to being hands on and when a new GM comes in I am not sure he is going to be hands off like he was before when he feels like things need to be corrected (Not just from a hockey perspective but the $$$ they are making). Whether it is temporary or not who knows, but it has to be concerning to any GM candidates that it happened this way in season and now he is talking about making trades before a new GM is in place.

Holmgren is now in full charge of hockey ops. Said he doesn’t want to start making trades and severely altering the roster before he finds the next GM. Scratch internal candidates like Dean Lombardi off the list. He’s got his own short list and it’s all external.

Bob Clarke literally lives in Florida most of the year and spends the rest of his time at PJ Whelihans in Maple Shade.
He's had nothing to do with the Flyers operations at least prior until this year.
