Pickard and assistant coach Gord Murphy not with the team today. Could be the first minor moves from Homer. Based on my reading about all these GM candidates I like Columbus Blue Jackets assistant GM Bill Zito the best. He was actually Kimmo's agent at one time too.

#Flyers announce they have fired assistant GM Chris Pryor and assistant coach Gord Murphy.
Pryor has been pretty integral in drafting and development over the years. So that seems like a pretty big mistake.

And the official statement says, “in close consultation with Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol...” WTF is going on here? Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with getting rid of Murphy, but this makes me concerned that Holmgren wants Hak to stay

I'd imagine Hakstol finishes out the season or close to it at this point. They are going to let the new GM hire who he wants to coach, so why bother firing Hak now and naming an interim. Not like that will make the goalies any better.
