Getting swept by the Marlins is bad but otherwise I feel like the Mets are being a little overdramatic. They’re only badly underperforming if you thought they were some sort of juggernaut which I don’t think anyone thought they would be. Most had them pegged as a low to mid 80s win team which they can easily get back on pace with a hot week or two.

But hey, if they want to freak out and completely melt down over being 6.5 back in mid-May it’s fine by me.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

4-game series against the Nats and they get Corbin, Fedde, Scherzer and Strasburg. yikes

Per MLB, it was due to a violent fall, NOT off of a horse and his right ankle twisted in a hole.

And if you, like I, forgot why he was at his ranch in florida and not playing baseball, it's because he is recovering from surgery to both of his heels.

Also, this is year 3 of his 4 year $110M deal with the mets. During that time, he's played in a total of 119 games.
