And if you, like I, forgot why he was at his ranch in florida and not playing baseball, it's because he is recovering from surgery to both of his heels.

Also, this is year 3 of his 4 year $110M deal with the mets. During that time, he's played in a total of 119 games.

They might be able to void his contract for this right?
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

I was wondering this, because it is not baseball related.

Saw it’s possible and his agent would forfeit part of his commission. His agent is the Mets gm now.

They’re only badly underperforming if you thought they were some sort of juggernaut which I don’t think anyone thought they would be. Most had them pegged as a low to mid 80s win team which they can easily get back on pace with a hot week or two.

But hey, if they want to freak out and completely melt down over being 6.5 back in mid-May it’s fine by me.

I think everyone in the NYC area thought they were going to win 90+ games, and the division, rather handily. The rest of the world had a more realistic view.

I kinda feel like Puig is Donald Trump Jr and Cespedes is Eric Trump

The New York Mets, a multibillion-dollar corporation that moonlights as a comedy act, put on their finest show in years Monday.

You're lucky it didn't break your leg, otherwise they'd have to have put you down.

So Robinson Cano gets put on blast for not running out ground balls, is benched, told he needs to run out plays, runs out a play today...and leaves with left quad tightness. You can't make this stuff up.

They signed Matt Kemp to a minor league deal.
