We’re better than the Marlins now. Already were, really.

Probably the Reds and Pirates, and maybe the Padres, too.

2018 is fun.
Eagles are champs.
Sixers are good.
Flyers are good.
BSG college basketball teams are (mostly) good.
Phillies might be good.

He was my least favorite of the big names starters available, but he had a nice 2nd half last year. It is also for only 3 years, which is what I was hoping for. I wanted them to do something and they did so I'm not going to complain. Contention, here we come.

Yeah I think most of us had different preferences but we waited him out and got a really good deal.

He's this years Adam Eaton, sans highlights. Team to beat. Finally

I don't get the "he stinks" stuff. Someone tweeted that he had a 2.26 ERA in his last 15 starts last year and 0.80 in his two starts in the playoffs.

To me, it's a great deal if you consider all the positives.

The names Pivetta and Arrieta have a poetic quality next to one another

Idk, if the Mets' pitchers stay healthy, they might be pretty damn good. That's a big if, though.
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."
